1. I study much BETTER sipping on coffee at a coffee shop. I am easily distracted so if I run into friends at school I end up talking to them for a good while and then my study sesh turns into a chit chat that lasts my entire study time. I truly enjoy being in an environment in which others are doing the same. PLUS, you can never go wrong with studying and coffee it's the perfect combination.
2. I am the type of person who could care less what others think. I literally love just running around and being my self. I'm that weird person that goes to the grocery store in her slippers slipping and sliding everywhere. I'm also like a lot of ya'll who take blog pics in front of an entire crowd and don't act any different then if I were alone. It's important to be yourself and love your self in every way. Embrace who YOU are!!!!
3. I am easily annoyed. Ya'll don't mess with me when I am tired or hungry.... I have so many pet peeves it's not even funny. One: Practice what you preach... two: put your signal when changing lanes three: don't be fake... I can tell. 4. Messy rooms... ok I admit my room isn't always in tip-top shape but I know whats in and why it's that way I can't go to a room that looks like a tornado came in 2013 and it hasn't been fixed since. Five: Don't just come to me when you are having issues. I want my people to want to be with me TO BE WITH ME... :P (needy? No I just get really sad when people disapear once there life is good again) Literally, I get sad.
The sun is finally shining and daylight savings has come around and I am so happy!
I was already so tired of the sun going down so early and all that cold weather! Now the birds are singing and the flowers are blooming it's my favorite season! (TBH I kinda like them all) lol.
My favorite part of spring is that it's in between being fresh outside and warm at the same time! It's the kinda weather you can go for a run outside without sweating like a pig! I love rolling down my windows, putting on a good summer vibe song and, enjoy the gorgeous weather!
I am always on the verge of breaking down or just staying quiet and I get into the kinda feels were you don't want to talk to a single person. That's been me lately and I love talking to people but, I'm just like "get out of my face, thanks." It's just not me... (weird right?)
Ya'll I feel so bad for my boyfriend, we really don't get to see each other much and when we do I'm always TIRED and wanting to go to bed and all he wants to do is watch This is Us, talk, play games, and there I am telling him how I need to go to bed and he gets so sad!!!! Our schedules are so different so we do our best to hang.. most of the times its a hike, netflix, or pigging out cause who doesn't love to eat? Am I right?
Apart from all this, my car got hit while parked. The witness saw a blue car hit my car and ditch the premises. I was so exhausted I didn't even throw a fit... angry Jaslyn is someone you don't want to mess with, trust me. I held my tears and called the insurance after I filed a report and they said it would cost $500 to repair the damages. I have only had my car for a year and a half so you could imagine my heartbreak. That's just so mean. I couldn't live with my self if I had hit a car and fled after damaging it.
Apart from the mess, I have felt life has been there's also really GREAT parts. I love remaining positive (After all my breakdowns cause we human and we gotta cry every now and then) and a big part of my positivity comes from my boyfriend and my older brother. They are the people I spend the most time with and they always make me feel good. I have found that it is highly important to surround your self with those who are,
1. positive
2. optimistic
3. caring
4. loving
5. trustworthy
It's the best thing you can do!!!
Sorry for all the ranting I just felt that I had a lot to get off my chest and I want to be as transparent for whoever is reading this... so many smiling faces that we see but we may never know what they may be going through so always be your kind self!!
Ps. Don't be shy tell me who you are, and what makes your world go round. I want to get to know YOU!!!
Hope you enjoyed this brunch chit chat!
love always,
Jaslyn

If you have been keeping up with me... ya'll know I'm an outfit repeater because let's be real what college student has money for days? I know I don't so I do my best to mix and match my clothes so I don't annoy myself with wearing the same things!! This top is from a super cute boutique owned by one of my friends! She really has an eye for beautiful clothing I wish I could buy everything! America Batel Boutique be sure to check out her page! Ps. My boyfriend picked my outfit this time and He did such a GREAT job! I love the combo! Comment below on what you think about his fashion skills! I think he dresses me better than I dress myself :P
So I haven't felt like myself lately... I am always on the go which stresses me out and I don't sleep enough so the thought of knowing I won't sleep much also stresses me out and let's just say I have been a complete MESS!!! I don't know what to do ya'll... Usually, yoga, meditation, and dancing help me release all the stress inside me but I haven't even had time for that! I feel like I'm just working and working with no breaks. Sure, I take an hour off of work or school but in that hour I'm just thinking about work and school... I wish there was a way to put that part of my life on hold to just breath a little without crying.I am always on the verge of breaking down or just staying quiet and I get into the kinda feels were you don't want to talk to a single person. Who else is having the time of their lives?
WOOOOO!!! Yay!!! I'm HAPPY for you because mine lasted a day...lol
But for real, I worked 29 hours in 3 days and had Thursday off and then moved into a two bedroom over the entire weekend! I am exhausted!
Myself and a couple of good friend went to Son's Island down in Seguin,TX! We were really unsure of what to do but as I told ya'll on my Spring Break Ideas Post my girlfriend told me about this place and we simply could not let it slip away!
We stopped to get snacks and food at HEB and then headed out to the island! At first, we were a little skeptical because the entrance was interesting we entered a neighborhood first and then were approached by one of Son's Island many friendly staff memebers!
As we past, we were in an "Awwww" moment because we crossed a beautiful bridge to get on to the actual island. I was amazed! Kinda sad I'm not rich I would have bought that island for myself (selfish) but I would have invited all of you to come over :P
It was a pretty windy day so we didn't swim but, we did get in a kayak which is included in the Groupon purchase we made! We all went out together and we were racing and having a great time!
It was a great day to talk, rest, dance, and cook! Get this, we forgot to get the actual charcoal and practically everything you need to have a cookout so our kind cabana neighbors saved our life and got a fire started for us to cook our hot dogs! The man from the family who helped us was part of law enforcement he was TOO GREAT!!! We couldn't thank him enough!
Shop my Fanny
Ps. My swimsuit is from Agaci, it's not online! Store only... SUPER CUTE! And my glasses are from the one and only Target
I bought my hammock last year! It's from Wal-Mart they get pretty cute stuff during the summer! I always have it in my trunk for spontanous hammocking!
What did you do for spring break? Any places you recommend to go to in the future? I wanna know! :)
Love always,
Jaslyn

Y'all I AM SO PUMPED!!! It's almost spring break and I have been everywhere but planning for a little getaway! Being adventurous and getting out there is always on my to-do list. It should be on yours too! We all NEED a break! Wouldn't it be nice if we got paid to go a vacation? That's my dream job so if you know how I can accomplish that goal comment below :P
I work 3 days out of the week so I am taking advantage of my 3 days off and let me just tell ya... I can't wait!!! My plans right now is to check out Son's Island at Lake Placid in New Braunfels.
Going with a couple friends for the day and it's only $109 (YAY clap clap clap) its currently on sale through Groupon! Kimberly (my homegirl) got such a great deal! The original price $220! It's for 8 people so we are gonna split the price to enjoy a beautiful day by the lake to swim, eat, kayak, and paddleboard! It's only a day thing so we will be there from 10am-7pm which to me is perfect because there is so much more to do!
Today i'm sharing with you a couple of things you can do in some of the most beautiful places in Texas! (The photo above was taken in Huatulco, Oaxaca which I will be talking about later, in another post..it's just such a great shot I had to use it!)
..... Hope this helps!
Gardner State Park
One of my favorite places to go! I love the hiking here at the Frio River! This is a great place to explore at, swim, kayak, and paddleboard. Ooo! Let's not forget a great place to cook out at! Can't have a swimming day without the cookout!
My boyfriend, I love this place! We kayaked around the river and found some pretty cool spots! My boyfriend also jumped off a rope and into the water! I couldn't do it because let me just tell you... a couple years ago I got on the rope swing and it was pretty heavy I was ready but it took me and instead of hitting a guy in the water I fell on a huge tree trunk! That **** HURT! Never again... I am scarred for life!!! Anyhow, I watched him jump off that rope swing looking fine as hell... let's not get off topic though.. anyhow we also met a couple people during our hike and they told us about a cave in the mountain that was so cold it would dry all our sweat. Not only that but it goes a couple miles in! We went inside just a little but got out because we were very unprepared for that! I recommend taking bug spray, wearing long pants, socks, and a long sleeve top if you are gonna go in the cave since you will be crawling a lot and there will be a lot of different kinds of bugs! Also, take a small backpack with you with food and water just in case.....
The water here is also very clear so feel free to bring you go pro for underwater adventures and enjoy your day! You can go for a day or camp out as well :)
Austin, TX Lady Bird Lake
If you are down for a picnic be sure to get some yummy food from any food truck (you simply can't go wrong) and head out to zilker park for some beautiful views and fun! Bring your vollyball, waterguns, water baloons, ANYTHING!
South Padre Island
Who doesn't like chillin' by the beach? I love going to the beach to run and play in the sand and just enjoying the sound of the waves and the brightness of the sun and the way the ocean looks at night. The day/nightlife is always bumping and you can have an overall good time whether you are a homebody or not.... my girlfriends and I had such a great time! We ate a lot, watched the sunrise and it was the most beautiful thing! Airbnb gots you covered if you aren't about that hotel life. Be sure to stop by for your goodies before getting to the island! There is a small grocery store and you may not find everything you need.
A hidden gem in Uvalde, TX is a place I have been going to twice a year for 3 years now... this place is a great place to come have fun with friends and family! You can choose to camp out or rent a cabin for a couple days! There is no hiking trail... you kind of have to find your own way but WARNING be safe it is an amazing adventure but can be very dangerous! You are literally hiking.. so come prepared with gear and a first aid kit! Also... go early not late! It's easy to get lost and get stuck there once the sun sets... it happened to us... other than that the park is beautiful! I had never seen so many stars in my life.. you can see everything! Not an empty spot in the sky... so romantic (wooo for all my lovebirds out there.) P.s. stop at the Walmart in Uvalde there is no corner stores or anything nearby!
Hamilton Pool

Ya'll... This place is so BEAUTIFUL! The water is also ice cold! I was so pumped to come here. I finally checked it off my bucket list! My friends and I started off the day getting our food from H-E-B (grocery store) we got chips, sandwhiches and fruit because grills are not allowed in this area. (keep that in mind) Reservations are sometimes required so be sure to check their website for day to day updates! Some days you can swim others you can't so be sure to plan ahead! It is such a beautiful place. Make sure to have your picnic blankets prepared and sunscreen! Also, there is a hike you can take to a flowing river not too far of a walk from the natural pool area and lots of pretty nature areas as you walk to the river! Be cautious of your surroundings and especially if your going with little ones, the water is heavy since its a natural swimming pool so try to stay above water the deeper you go the heavier the water gets above you. I recommend bring floats with you as well. Nothing too big because its a good hike down to the pool area. Take pictures, swim lots, and enjoy!
Lost Maples
You may be wondering what I am doing with my hands... well I am wearing the world. I have been an ambassador for a company called Serengetee. They give back to the world with every purchase, not only that but each purchase you make comes from different places around the world. For example, the backpack I am wearing is from Peru. With this purchase, I give back to children who attended school so that they can buy school supplies. Here is the link... CHECK IT OUT!
This was our first time hiking together and WE LOVED IT! The views are gorgeous and the water was nice and cold! We went last year early January and it was the most perfect weather! However, during spring break you can get into the water comfortably!
Enchanted Rock
Not too far from the San Antonio Area you can find one of the cutest little towns! Besides having a cute downtown area to check out filled with boutiques and restaurants you can enjoy the great outdoors hiking at the enchanted rock! Doggy friendly as well for those dog parents out there! The hike isn't too crazy... but you do need to stay hydrated! There a tons of cute squirrels looking for friends and food! Make sure you don't feed them anything crazy :p they will chill around you and trick you into thinking they want to get closer to you just to get your food! Great photo opportunities and a good place for a picnic! I recommend bringing your picnic basket and blanket to chill at the top of the rock and have a good meal! Preferably fruits and sandwiches since it's the easiest thing to keep fresh during your hike! There are also different mountains you can hike and get an entire view of the area! BE SAFE! My boyfriend climbed a thin area at the top of the mountain and I got a heart attack because he slipped! So be cautious of what you are doing. Also, do bring you go pro or camera! I know you want to enjoy your day but its always good to document memories! It's a moment frozen in time that you will never lose! These were shot with my iPhone 7 plus, go pro and canon!
That's it for today Amigas... I hope you all have a wonder SpringBreak! Ya'll stay safe out there!
Also, please comment below what you all plan on doing during your free time or if you have any ideas for me! SOOO excited to connect with you!
XOXO

Whats up peeps?
I've been in college for 4 years now and it's been a tough ride. I love the great outdoors and getting outside of my comfort zone. The world I wish to explore but these days it is so hard. I've never been a big spender, however, I have a big calling to be where I am not. I have tried to figure out ways to save even it's just a little a time. I have a collection of piggy banks... and let me tell ya, I got way more piggies then I do cash...hehehe.
Tip #1
Every time you get paid, save a little.
I have piggy banks I use to save for trips! Every time I get paid I put a certain amount of $$$ in my piggy! Sometimes its $5 others it's $20 or more. Sure I had to sacrifice buying a new top or going out with the girls but I LOVE creating memories and enjoying the world around us. Even if you add a dollar a day it adds up to everything else! I'm excited to count how much I have saved these past couples of months!!!
Tip #2
Babysit! I love kids! I work with them every day! My regular part-time job helps me pay bills and food! My babysitting gig is money that is MINE! Oh yeah! I get supaa duppeerr pumped every time I babysit because I either put it in saving or I spoil my self a little bit :p Y'all I get out of babysitting and I feel like a champ!!!! It's not too hard to do and you get to pick out your schedule. There are plenty of websites you can sign up to babysit or talk to others who may need babysitting! You'll start making additional cash to save up for your future adventure!!!
Tip #3
Don't eat OUT! MEAL Plan!!
Y'all I struggle with this every weekend! I generally eat my meal prep Monday-Friday but on the weekends this girl eats out WAY too much. We generally spend about $60 if not more on ourselves eating out on the weekend...that's almost the cost of a one-way ticket!!!
Tip #4
Shop on AMAZON!!!
Have you compared prices between Amazon, target, and sams club?
I have been looking up ways to save a budget and found out that things like Tide detergent, toilet paper, paper towel, trash bags and all that jazz are much cheaper through Amazon than at the store!
Apart from all this if you're looking at buying in a bundle you can check out Amazon for the product you want and find it + much more that comes along with it!!!
Tip #5
Don't buy on impulse!
Yes... we all love to shop the feeling of a brand new top, pillow, etc makes us feel so cool but that doesn't last forever... Try finding what you want somewhere else for a better price or wait for it to go on sale! Or... if you don't need it.. don't get it. I have been crazy over wanting furniture for my room... I sleep on a mattress on the floor and have containers to store my stuff and as soon as I see a piece of furniture I can't help but wanna buy it but then realize what else I can do with that money and up not getting anything. Don't get me wrong I want some nice furniture to come home to but I know at this stage in my life it's ok! I have to pay for school!! ALMOST DONE!!!! WOOO!!!!
Tip #6
Paint your own nails!
It costs so much money to get our nails done being a girl ain't easy! Start painting your own nails and start saving those $30 you spend twice a month! Invest in your next adventure and see where you can go!
Tip #7
Are you artsy?
Sell your pieces online! I always wanted to be good at creating designs but I seriously can't!
Check out https://www.jessicamariedesign.com this is what I wish I could do! My sister is so talented!!! You can sell your designs on Etsy, Zazzle, and other websites! You got this!!!
#8 Plan Ahead!
Just how we plan what we are gonna do through out the week plan how much you are planning on spending. This helps out in the long run, when we budget and plan it is easier for us to not over spend when not needed as well helps us to plan what we are gonna do in greater extenet so we aren't in line at the grocery store and are turned down because we went over our budget :p (Its happend before jiji)
Life ain't easy! But there are changes we can do in order to explore the world around us and enjoy the little things. With a little more planning and saving You and I will be able to explore a little more of the wonderful world that surrounds us!
Wishing you all an incredible week! Go kick ASS!!!
