HOW I BALANCE LIFE, WORK AND SCHOOL

Let's be real as great as life is sometimes it gets WAY to hard. I have been in college for four years now and am currently on my second to last semester. I have been working since I was 16 years old and honestly can't imagine not having a job. However, I love living life and it gets hard to socialize and still get work done. Today I'm talking about what I do to have the best of both worlds. 



Getting things done while also enjoying your time. 
1. For starters, I love getting work done at coffee shops why? One, because I LOVE working at cute places. Let me just say I can spend hours at a coffee shop reading and getting things done and since I'm on a budget I like to ask for the coffees that have FREE refills. Cause if I'm gonna be doing work for 6 hours+ I gotta have my caffeine but don't have the greens to keep buying coffee. 
2.  I love finding a balance. There are times where I lock myself in my room and do work or go to the UTSA library and block myself out from the world but I'm the kind of person who likes to move around and getting a change of scenery is always the BEST. If you are like me find a couple coffee shops around your area and invite a girlfriend to tag along to study with you. I've found that I work harder for a longer time when I surround myself with others who are also doing work. 
3. If you love pictures and blogging you can take you fun cute pictures when you take a study break. I have a hard time finding and making time to blog due to my cray cray schedule. Literally, I have no idea how people find time to post every day... if you have tips share them with me in the comments below or comment down your blog so I can go educate myself :P 
Take a break from the stress 
 Taking YOGA classes as really helped relieve stress. I am not that flexible but the breathing exercises we do help my mind and body relax. I break out a lot when I am stressed, and also stress eat which is NOT good... I find when I clear my head and stop thinking about all that needs to be done I can breathe again. It's easy to break down and cry looking down at the list of everything you have to do by the end of the day/week so take time to let yourself breath and let loose for a while. Whether is exercising or going out to dance TREAT YOURSELF.  One of my favorite things to do when I want to stop thinking about school and work is going on a run. I get runners high and I just feel so at peace with myself. A good substitution for this is meditation, its hard at the beginning TRUST me if you haven't done it before its going to take a while to get used to. I started off meditating for 5 minutes and worked my way up from there. I legit looked up videos and advice on how to do this and I can honestly say it's one of the best ways to relax my entire mind, body, and soul.



Don't overwork yourself. 
This past year I was working 3 jobs. Paying for school isn't easy but I was working 3 jobs all while going to school and studying. Let's just say I overdid it. I started my day at 7am and didn't end till midnight every day. I ended up getting sick for a month and a half and was out of work and school. Listening to your body is important. Yes, life is hard but your health is the most important!!!! 

Make time for others.
I am the worst at texting back I currently have 108 unread messages. It's not that I don't want to talk to others but I'm simply too busy to check so many messages. I prefer face-time calls or hanging out in person. I have learned however that in order to build real friendships you have to make time for others. Relationships take work! It's no easy task to keep in touch with those you love and care about but it's important to do so. Hanging out with others brings so much joy into my life. I have talked to friends who say the same thing. We all agree that when ever you talk to your friends and vent with them or simply have them in your presence we some how feel 10 times better.
B E L I E V E in YOURSELF.
Don't give up. Wise words to live by "Success doesn't come from what you do occasionally. It comes from what you do consistently." We can't expect to get good grades if we only study for an hour. We can't expect to lose weight if we don't eat healthy and work out. And we can't expect an incredible life to be handed to us. We have to work hard. For EVERYTHING. Nothing worth while ever comes easy and that's something I have to remind myself every time I want to just give up and spend my life watching netflix until i'm broke and can't afford it anymore.
