Things to do in Houston - My three day weekend trip

Tuesday, July 20, 2021

Welcome back babes! I had the most wonderful time celebrating my friend Daisy’s 25th birthday! A whole quarter life! I know… I can’t believe how time flies! We met back in 2014 in our environmental science class… she was the girl with a cap 🧒 hiding her sleep away in this early lecture and I was the peppy girl ready to learn and make friends. I am so happy we hit it off because she has been my soul sister since!

This weekend I headed over to HTown with my girl Sussan to celebrate! Here are a couple of the spots we got to visit!

Stop #1 McIntyre’s  mcintyresusa.com/heights

Address: 1230 W 20th St
Houston, TX  77008
United States

I ordered a frozen mango margarita and quesadillas de Pastor from the outdoor food truck! 10/10 delicious!

Our next spot was Standard bar + grill
Location: 5306 Washington Ave
Houston, TX  77007
United States

Y’all this place gets LITTY! The music is amazing, however, I wish the DJ wouldn’t switch songs so quickly! The second the girls and I were getting into the music it was a switch! Don’t get me wrong playlist was bumping but a couple more seconds would have been phenomenal. ✨

The next morning after MUCH needed sleep… however not enough we headed back to the city to wait 2 hours to eat at

TASTE + Bar & Kitchen 😍

Location: 3015 Bagby St
Houston, TX  77006
United States

I do not foresee myself waiting another 2 hours in line in the Houston humid heat; however, I will definitely be back during the colder months because these General Tso chicken and waffles were 10/10 YUMMMMYYYY!!!

Okay… brunch is done and we had mimosas and lemonade so it’s TIME FOR COFFEE!!!! I was so excited to see that Houston has a DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!!

Tom n Toms!

Like WHAT! 😱 I was so excited! Sussan and I got our Korean coffee fix and it made the day so much better! ✨

Location: 5353 W Alabama St
Unit 107
Houston, TX  77056
United States

What I ordered: iced lavender latte with oat milk ☕️

The Houston Galleria Water Wall

Address: 2800 Post Oak Blvd
Houston, TX  77056
United States

10/10 recommend checking out both sides! This area does get pretty packed so come early or work with your angles! I know these images look empty but in reality, it was extremely packed!

I love the trees that surround this park! Truly make you feel like you are somewhere new πŸ“Έ

Location: Galveston Beach
Purpose: Birthday Picnic with my girls 100/10 recommend πŸ’“

We ate, laughed, drank wine & soju, and talked under the stars. It was the most perfect time. πŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’“

Last day…. We didn’t want this girl's weekend to end…
